Privacy in Puppy Coach
Puppy Coach keeps what you tell it about your dog on your device. Turn on notifications, and our server learns just enough to send them.
- Your dog's breed, look and age, your goals, your training sessions and your potty and alone-time logs are stored on your device. Share a dog with your family, and it's also kept in the iCloud of the one who shared it and on each phone in the family. We can't see it.
- There is no account, no email and nothing to sign in to.
- Subscriptions go through Apple. We never see your payment details.
- There are no ads, no tracking and no analytics tools in the app.
- Deleting the app deletes everything on your device.
With notifications on
The app sends our server:
- the push token Apple gives your phone
- your language, time zone and app version
- your dog's name
- your subscription status from the App Store: whether you subscribe, whether it renews and when it ends, and whether you have ever subscribed, so you never get an offer after buying
- when you last opened the app
We use it for training reminders and the occasional offer, and nothing else. You can turn offers off under your dog's profile โ Notifications โ Offers. The server also notes which notifications it has sent you, so none comes twice. It runs on Cloudflare, our data processor, and Apple delivers the notifications.
It's all deleted from the server the next time you open the app after turning off notifications, or both "After a break" and "Offers", and after 180 days without use.
Everything can be deleted at any time under your dog's profile โ Start over, both on your phone and on our server.
